THE COVENANT — READ-ONLY PREVIEW
ARTICLE 01
KHAYBAR and the Host are collectively referred to as "the Parties." They enter into this agreement in the spirit of hospitality, intention, and shared values.
ARTICLE 02
This agreement governs a luxury hospitality coffee partnership: KHAYBAR supplies bespoke roasted coffee seeds to the Host. The Host places this coffee at the heart of every guest's morning — as an act of reception, not a room commodity.
Every kilogram the Host purchases from KHAYBAR falls under the 9:1 Manner: for every 9 kilograms purchased, KHAYBAR prepares one fresh meal and gives it away — without conditions, without compensation, without any obligation to publicise.
A guest wakes in Amsterdam, lifts the cup — and without knowing it, someone in Noord has been fed. That is what makes it hospitality.
ARTICLE 03
KHAYBAR supplies freshly roasted coffee seeds to the Host based on a separately agreed delivery schedule — weekly or fortnightly. Origin, volume, roast profile, and pricing are confirmed in writing per delivery agreement.
The Host receives bespoke pricing based on monthly volume purchased, reviewed annually in consultation with both Parties.
| < 10 kg/month | Hospitality price | To be agreed |
| 10–40 kg/month | Host pricing | Discount on standard wholesale |
| > 40 kg/month | Institutional rate | To be determined together |
ARTICLE 04
KHAYBAR supplies with every delivery an In-Room Story Card — a beautifully designed card placed alongside the coffee. The card tells the guest, quietly, what their morning cup has done.
The Host is free to choose their own equipment and brew method. KHAYBAR advises on request regarding the most suitable preparation for the chosen seeds, tailored to the level of the property.
The Host communicates KHAYBAR's presence in the room or reception — at minimum via the story card — so that guests understand their morning contributes to feeding others.
ARTICLE 05
The Host receives every quarter an official KHAYBAR 9:1 Impact Certificate — a statement showing exactly how many meals the hotel's orders have generated. Transparent. Verifiable. Yours to share.
The Host's name appears in the KHAYBAR impact register as a co-contributor, unless the Host declines this in writing.
The Impact Certificate may be used for guest experience communication, sustainability reporting, and internal brand presentations.
ARTICLE 06
For every 9 kilograms of coffee the Host purchases from KHAYBAR, KHAYBAR prepares one fresh meal and gives it away. The meal obligation rests with KHAYBAR, not the Host.
KHAYBAR documents every generated meal in its impact register. This is not a donation, not a CSR measure — it is the manner in which we do what we do.
ARTICLE 07
KHAYBAR invoices the Host per delivery or monthly, depending on agreed delivery frequency. Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.
All amounts are exclusive of VAT, stated on the invoice in accordance with Dutch tax regulations.
ARTICLE 08
This agreement comes into effect on the start date stated below, for an indefinite period with a minimum initial term of 3 months. After the initial period, either Party may terminate with 30 days' written notice.
KHAYBAR may terminate with immediate effect if the Host acts contrary to the spirit of the 9:1 Manner.
ARTICLE 09
This agreement is governed by Dutch law. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, unless the Parties agree in writing to resolve the dispute through mediation. The Dutch version of this agreement is the legally binding version.
