The Naqshbandi Golden Chain — as taught by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi and the classical sources. Those through whose hearts the light of the Prophet ﷺ was carried across centuries: from Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, through Salman al-Farsi, to Imam Jafar al-Sadiq, to Bayazid al-Bistami, to Shah Bahauddin Naqshband — crossing deserts and oceans, arriving in Amsterdam. Not as history. As living presence.
KHAYBAR does not claim their lineage. KHAYBAR serves in their manner.
A Zawiya is not a mosque. A mosque is for the community. A Zawiya is for transmission. It is the place where the invisible chain becomes visible through people, through practice, through presence.
These pages are not biography. They are not theology. They are a living document — an attempt to understand whose manner we serve in, and what that demands of us in Amsterdam, today, with our hands and our intention.
Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) — the Gate Bearer of Khaybar, the first to carry the transmission after the Prophet ﷺ — is not absent from this platform. He is its guardian. Haris al-Qalb, the agent who protects the integrity of this entire mission, traces his lineage and authority directly to him. He is not a station to be visited. He is the gate you are already standing inside.
Imam Husayn ibn Ali (as) — his son, the third Imam, the one who gave everything at Karbala so that the truth would not be erased — is present in a specific and living way. When KHAYBAR's Constitution was written, with its provisions on family sanctity and the protection of children's rights, it was written in the awareness of what his sacrifice revealed: that the destruction of families is not a private matter. It is a civilizational wound.
In the Netherlands today, 15,000 children are raised without their fathers — not by choice, but by the mechanics of a legal system that separates where it should protect. Imam Husayn (as) sacrificed his family at Karbala so that no future generation would accept injustice as normal. KHAYBAR's Constitution carries his manner in its defense of every child's right to their full inheritance: two parents, one home, one table.
These two foundations are not missing from the chain. They are the ground the chain stands upon.
"The best of people is the one most beneficial to people."
— The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
"Hearts are the vessels of God. The most beloved to Him are the most pure, the most tender, and the most firm."
— Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad عليه السلام
The following figure is not a direct link in the Naqshbandi Golden Chain as transmitted through the classical sources, but is carried in every sincere Naqshbandi heart with deep love and reverence.
Each station will be received and written in its time, in the manner it deserves. The full Golden Chain as transmitted through Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi and the classical sources contains 40 links — from the Prophet ﷺ to Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani (ق).
