BEFORE EVERYTHING
The camera will record what you bring into the room. Bring the right thing.
READ THIS BEFORE EVERY SHOOT DAY
We are not making a commercial. We are not making content. We are making a document — a record of something true, happening in real time, in Amsterdam Noord, in 2026.
The person watching does not need to be sold anything. They need to feel something they already know but have not yet named. Our job is to give that feeling a face, a room, a smell of roasting coffee, and a plate of food.
If at any point during the shoot it feels like a performance — stop. Reset. Ask: "Is this actually true, or are we staging truth?" Stage nothing. Document everything.
THE THREE QUESTIONS — ASK BEFORE PRESSING RECORD
Is this moment true?
If it only exists because the camera is here — do not film it.
Is the light honest?
Natural light only. If you need to add a light to "improve" the scene — move the camera instead.
Would this person behave this way if we were not here?
The best shot is the moment they forget you are filming. Wait for it.
